• Avoid Excessive Structural Tension: Mini HDMI (Type C) ports and plugs are smaller and more delicate than standard HDMI interfaces. Do not use this coupler to bridge two heavy, thick, or rigid cables that hang unsupported, as the weight can warp the internal pins or damage the ports on your connected devices.
• Prevent Lateral Pulling & Bending Stress: When using this coupler with portable gear like camera gimbals, rigs, or tablets, ensure the cables are secured with strain-relief clips or velcro ties. Yanking or tripping over a connected cable can apply lateral leverage, snapping the internal trace connections inside the mini housing.
• Do Not Force Alignment: Always visually inspect the orientation of the incoming Mini HDMI male plug before inserting it into the coupler. Because of its slim, asymmetrical shape, forcing a plug upside down or at an angle will permanently crush the internal gold-plated contact pins.
• Verify Passive Signal Limitations: This coupler is a passive hardware bridge and does not boost or amplify video signals. To maintain a stable $4\text{K}$ or $1080\text{p}$ image without digital noise, flickering, or dropping out, keep the total combined length of the two linked cables within the maximum reliable range recommended by your video source device.
• Keep Ports Free of Dust and Debris: Due to the small physical opening of Mini HDMI slots, they are highly sensitive to pocket lint, grit, or dust accumulation. When storing the adapter in a camera bag or toolkit, keep it in a clean pocket or protective pouch to prevent contact insulation issues.
• Power Down Sensitive Equipment Before Connection: To eliminate the risk of electrostatic discharge (ESD) damaging sensitive mobile sensors, turn off your mirrorless camera, field monitor, or portable display before inserting or removing cables from the coupler bridge.
